This publication examines the chromatic properties of darkness. Working on carbon black paper, Dr. Fania Bajot layers acrylic paint with deliberate restraint, allowing form and hue to emerge in counterpoint.
The resulting series explores duality as coexistence, mapping the tension between presence and void, structure and rupture. Rooted in still expressionism and existential inquiry, and filtered through a scientific sensibility, the paintings propose a visual syntax where colour operates as thought, and black functions as ground rather than backdrop.
